M Hassan Raza

Muhammad Hassan Raza belongs to Okara, a city of Punjab-Pakistan. Holding an M Phil in Mass Communication for University of Gujrat, Hassan started his journalistic career as a sub editor in a local magazine in 2005 and then joined Daily Ausaf as reporter in 2008. He moved to daily Pakistan in 2010, Waqt TV in 2011, PID, APP and finally joined Dunya Group in 2012. Hassan was promoted as special correspondent in 2014. He left Dunya for 92 News in 2016 but rejoined after one month and still serving the group as special correspondent.
Hassan has a special interest and skill in investigation reporting and he has a number of breaking stories in his name and action has been taken by the concerned quarter on his stories. Significant most among those stories is the Punjab Government’s 56 public sector companies’ scam with a corruption of 80 billion rupees. Hearing in Lahore High court is in progress on this issue and a number of Saaf Pani company office bearers are under arrest.
Another feather in Hassan’s cap is the popular Bureaucrats illegal promotions case during PPP regime. Hassan’s report made the government set aside those promotions on the orders of Supreme Court and Senior bureaucrats including the then PM’s brother in law were demoted to grade 20 which never happened before. Hassan Raza also broke the 130 billion rupees scam in Wheat department Punjab and on his story; CM Punjab took the charge from two ministers involved. Hassan Raza has given numerous investigative reports. JIT formation on Panama case, Children kidnapping in Punjab and violence against women are prominent.
